- • The key to integrated security systems
- At Direct Security we strive to combine all of our electronic systems wherever possible to make one integrated
solution. This combination sometimes requires fibre optic cabling, which can transmit video or data signals.
- The benefit of fibre over copper cabling is the distance that the signal can be transmitted is far greater with fibre.
Multiple signals can be transmitted over the same cable.
- Our fibre optic technicians are qualified to British Standard 3466 Optical Fibre Installation and Testing. This ensures
a quality installation, commissioning and testing.
- Direct Security have worked on a Town Centre CCTV systems that use fibre optic transmission, transmitting signals
over many kilometres. Our Access Control division has also used fibre optic to transmit data over similar distances
that network together a number of buildings within the same site.
- Fibre transmission complements the disciplines that we work to within the electronic security industry and enables
you the client to use a one-stop-shop.
